Damburite

Damburite is a calcium boron silicate mineral, is a beautiful and attractive stone. It’s hard and bright when cut. It has all the requirements of a gemstone except it doesn’t comes in many colors. Very light pink, pale yellow and white seem to be all. For all that though, it doesn’t get the respect it deserves. Not very known in jewelry world is also appreciated by gem collectors. First found in Danbury, Connecticut, USA where it takes its name.
Hard to find with eye clean clarity in larger size. With an hardness of 7 on the Mohs hardness mineral scale, Damburite is similar to Quartz and can be easily used in jewelry to create original jewels like rings, necklaces and pendants.
