Labradorite is a feldspar that commonly is cut into cabochon cut to show an attractive iridescence effect called labradorescence, that can show some beautiful flash of many colors like blue, yellow, orange, green. Often opaque or translucent, labradorite can also be transparent colorless crystals or with pale yellow color hue with light saturation. Spectrolite is the rarest form and the finest labradorite sample, with translucent clarity and amazing labradorescence, is hard to find in large size. Common stone is not rare and can be found in large size at affordable price, it can be cut into cabochon, faceted, or sculpted into beads or carved. Usually used in affordable jewels, this gemstone is one of the most silversmithing favorite stone.
