Grossular Garnet


Grossular garnet is a calcium-aluminium mineral species of the garnet gemstone group, the most common variety of grossular garnet is called hessonite, typically orange with some tint of red color. Grossular garnet can also be found in green color hue with some tint of yellow or bright green color that is called Tsavorite. Grossular garnet also called Grossularite ranges in color from lemon yellow to greenish-yellow, yellowish-green and even mint green, has a high refractive index with good fire and high dispersion that makes this kind of gemstones really attractive and desirable.
